Slippery Hollow Natural Area, located in the Ozark Mountains, Marion County, consists of a steep-sided stream valley and gently undulating uplands. Upper slopes are forested with a mix of post oak, blackjack oak, and shortleaf pine. On the lower slopes a mesic hardwood forest of red and white oak, basswood, and sugar maple prevails. The area provides critical habitat for the federally endangered Ozark big-eared bat.

Directions
At Lakeway (junction of State Highway 14 and County Road 8001) go north on State Highway 14 for approximately 1.4 miles. The entrance sign is on the right side of the road. Parking is on the shoulder.
