South Atlantic Landscape Conservation Cooperative Updated:04/2022

The South Atlantic Landscape Conservation Cooperative (SALCC) is part of a national network of Landscape Conservation Cooperatives (LCCs). LCCs are applied conservation science partnerships among federal agencies, regional organizations, states, tribes, NGOs, universities and other entities within a geographic area.  They are designed to inform resource management decisions in an integrated fashion across landscapes at a broader scale than any individual partner’s responsibility.

Mission:
Facilitate conservation actions that sustain natural and cultural resources, guided by a shared adaptive blueprint.

We collectively create and implement a conservation blueprint that guides efforts to sustain natural and cultural resources. We also identify and monitor key indicators that help us measure the overall health of the South Atlantic’s complex ecosystems. And we publish the State of the South Atlantic, which helps people understand our regional environment and reports on the success of ongoing conservation efforts.
