Located in West Central Arkansas in the heart of the Ouachita Mountains. The Haven is conveniently located 45 miles West of Historic Hot Springs and 35 miles East of Mena Arkansas. Hot Springs is known for its horse racing and natural hot springs spas. Mena, for it's Queen Wilhelmina State Park, the second highest mountain in the state. The Haven is only 10 miles from the World Famous Quartz Crystal Mines of Mt. Ida and 60 miles from Murfresboro, Arkansas, home of the only diamond mine in North America.
River fishing is good year round. The big ones come up from the lake to spawn in late February and March. Small Mouth Bass are the most abundant, but the river also provides Catfish, Large Mouth Bass, Stripers, Perch and Crappie. In addition there are a number of nearby mountain ponds that are stocked and maintained by the Ouachita National Forest Service.
Trails Provide Easy Access to National Forest! The Haven is an excellent base for your hiking, mountain biking, or an ATV Adventure!
