Mill Operations: Arkansas Mill

A linerboard innovator

The Arkansas Kraft Division uses a combination of virgin and recycled fiber to produce kraft linerboard and medium, making it a fully integrated pulp and containerboard mill. By recycling fiber in various forms, the mill is able to substantially reduce the number of landfill acres used annually.

The mill’s average daily production of unbleached kraft linerboard and medium is between 1,100 and 1,250 tons. Educated, experienced, and highly trained chemists, research analysts, and paper engineers produce only the highest quality containerboard available.

Customer service is our top priority

It takes more than quality products to be successful in today’s competitive global marketplace. After all, if our customers are successful, we’ll also be successful. We put that into action through superior customer service provided by the Arkansas Kraft Division’s sales and technical staff.

Quick facts. The Arkansas Mill …

… was one of the first linerboard mills to develop the technology to achieve recycling; before that, the waste of corrugated and paper products was incinerated and dumped into landfills.

… uses residual by-product sawmill chips for 25% of the wood used for pulp production.

… has advocated for the use of recovered paper consumption (corrugated boxes from grocery stores and other retail outlets), which has increased exponentially due to increased production rates.

… is ISO 9001:2008 certified; underscoring our commitment to continuous improvement and quality.
